I was born in a culture aristocratic family and educated by the family motto. My talent in painting was appears in teenage time, one is due to the discover and help from my art instructor in primary school, and other is because I use painting to set loneliness away and protect myself from the discrimination of my family composition in external world. The bud of art germinated in early days has already grown into a big tree. If it does not look tall and straight enough, that is because it has suffered h too much; if it looks fairly luxuriant, that is because it has been warmed by people and has bathed in too much sunshine and rain. As to me, art and my life are united, and which is the form of my life. All the emotion of my life is oozed deeply into in every work of mine.

　　No pains, go gains. I experience it most. I was born in the fifties of the 20th century, in the beginning of “the Culture Revolution”, I missed my opportunity of education; and after that I respond the call "learn from workers and farmers, and to make great achievement in big world” to go countryside becoming one educated youth; in order to be a farmer, I transplant seedlings in daytime and learn to paint by kerosene light at night, when I finally was admitted to Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, due to my background, I failed in the political examination and miss the chance to go to school. The road of life is always twisted at first, however, it has never forfeited my art to dream of art. For my unbending personality does not allow me to bow to destiny and impels me to find a way out and pursue my dream. I begin to study from great masters and travel around to find my own unique art life. I firstly studied for Chen Wugou and Guo Manchu who are friends of my father’s. They then introduced me to learn from She Zhongying, Chen Zizhuang, Yan Songfu and Liu Jiming. That pious pursuit and the respect to the old generation of artist’s give more trust and care than other people. They tried their best to guide and support me, not merely teaching me the way of art, but also the way of being human. Lan Jusun once give me a couplet to alert me that always have higher pursuit in both art and life and which become my motto too. There will be no me without the cultivation of my teachers, and that kind of art education, though different from that in school, has trained me in many aspects of art and make me who I am today. Most importantly, things I learned from those artists have becoming my personal treasure and benefited me through my life. On another way, tribulation of life becomes my wealth. The sweat brings the harvest. At the beginning of 1982, in my thirty’s birthday, I held the first personal works exhibition (undertake by Dujiangyan Government), then in black dragon's pool, Golden Hall and Yuantong Temple of Kunming. At the end of that year, I accepted the offer to be a painter in Yunnan stone forest hotel. Over eight years, my calligraphy, painting, carving,and micro-carving were collected by foreign friends, financial group, galleries and museums around the world. During that time, I was invited to exhibit in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan and Italy, etc. In 1990, I returned to my hometown Chengdu and established “Art World”, which is more than 20 miles and receives hundreds of overseas visitors every day. In 1995, I established Yiyuan Art School and took the post as the headmaster. Hundreds of students have graduated, and I obtained the outstanding gardener’s award. In 1996, I held the first family exhibition of painting in Chengdu, and published Luo Jiakuan Collection of Painting. Thereafter, I am specialized in personage’s Chinese Bodhi, and published Luo Jiakuan Collection of Character Review by the Way of Bodhi. In 2002, I led my students to created mural painting the life of Sakyamuni and Earth Store Bodhisattva in Dujiang Weir in the total length of one kilometer. In 2004, with the recommendation of Haisen and Xiulin, I went to the capital to study, in Rongbaozhai. I was invited to be president of the Huaxia Painting Academy of China Federation of the Disabled, and incumbent vice president of China Artist Federation of the Disabled in 2005. At the same year, I organized the tour of the love—Fulin goes together with Special Olympics(held by China Federation of the Disabled, Special Olympics, and people network), and it received close attention by international Special Olympics and IOC. I obtained the name of Love Commissioner. Recent years, my works are selected large-scale exhibitions of paintings such as Celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the establishment of PLA, 10th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong, 110th Anniversary of the birth of Premier Zhou, Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of the New Fourth Army, etc. My artistic reputation is growing day by day, and my work is more mature with distinct and unique character.

　　There is no end in art. As to me, the long the life is, the deep its secret is; the long the exploration of art is, the deep my feedings are. It says in one’s fifty who knows God's will. I start to understand it was the play of painting in teenage days, the study of painting in youth and the paint of heart in middle-age. Painting is the flow of my the true feelings, it is pure, simple and peaceful which displays the dreamland in one’s soul. Painting contains my knowledge, moral and thought, which demonstrates a fresh me with color, lines, and atmosphere. It is inalienable that painting and my life, and painting is like my breath which cannot stop for even one moment. It is a harmonious existence and my top pursuit in art. Art is like man’s breath, you need to control the rhythms, and otherwise it will be either too overcautious or too strange. To learn from nature is to exercise your heart. The height and attitude of art is that of one’s personality. In fact, it is the mould of soul that art is tempered, and the spirit of painting is that of man. To combine the paint and human is perfect thing. One need three steps to meet this realm. First one is the peace of heart. One shall not be interfered by outer world then could he find resonance from objects and paint its spirit and soul. The second one is the peace of “nothing”, which means to forget the real world and to paint “nothing” from something. The third one is the peace of silence which is to surpass oneself and create another stage. So, the most valuable thing in the artistic creation is peace, and the art activity is the course and experience of the realization of peace. And that is why I named myself as Host of Wujing Hall (Wujing means to comprehend peace in English.)

　　I wish all my life as “Art as my highest esteem, rejoiced when inspiration strikes, creation is my delight, bridging art to friendship is my goal”. A piece of mountains and rivers, a clump of birds and flowers, a statue of Buddha are the soul world. I would like to open my heart and talk with all the readers.
